SUMMARY:RC8A – Basic Programming & Operation (OH)
DESCRIPTION:Class Overview and Curriculum:\nThis class is an introduction to DENSO robotics hardware and software and serves as a good start for someone either new to the field of robotics or just new to DENSO robotics in particular.  The class begins with robotics 101, and moves through the safety systems of the robot, up through jogging, variables, teaching positions, to writing the first programs.  We review how the robot I/O works, how it interfaces with a PLC, and also how to perform the robot homing/calibration routine, and that’s all just on the first day.  On the second day, the students open up our offline programming software, WINCAPS III, and learn how to back up their programs and controller data, how to write and fully simulate programs offline, and more.\nThe purpose of this class is not to make any student a robot expert, but to give each student a level of knowledge, familiarity, and comfort with the controller and hardware, so they understand the fundamental concepts of the DENSO robot system and are empowered with the tools they need for problem solving and development when they return.\n\nOverview of Robot/Controller Components\nTeach Pendant Navigation, Operation, and Programming\nThe teaching of Movement Modes, Positions, Variable Types\nProgram Execution in Teach Check and Auto Modes\nCalibration and Preventative Controller Maintenance\nBackup Program Data using WINCAPS III Software\nCreate Simulation using WINCAPS III Software\nTeach Robot Positions using WINCAPS III and Teach Pendant\nSystem I/O Interface\n\nWho Should Attend:\n\nNew Hires\nRobot Operators\nApplication Engineers\nSales Engineers\nNewcomers to DENSO robots\n\nPrerequisites: None\nTraining Duration: Two Days at DENSO Training Facility\nClass Size: One to 8 Students (Maximum two students per training cell)\nPrice: $1,200 USD or 2 training credits per student\nNote: The price includes lunch and refreshments on both days. Hotel costs are not included.\n
